By Robert Dugoni
If the victims end up killing themselves while actually trying to save themselves, is it really murder? You bet it is! A serial killer is still on the loose in Seattle. He is called the Cowboy for his expertise in tying knots. Tracy Crosswhite is put in charge of a The Cowboy Task Force. Her captain, John Nolasco, put her in charge only because he wants to see Tracy fail. Things go from bad to worse when the task force realizes they have a leak within the department, and it's coming from none other than John Nolasco himself. After he wheedles himself to take over the task force, the Cowboy is quickly caught and the case is wrapped up quickly. Nolasco thinks he has only one thing left to do... rub it in Tracy's face. Little does he realize, his ego is so big, it blocks him from seeing the whole truth.
I love reading a story where the author makes it seem easy enough to identify the "bad guy", and yet, things are not always what they seem. Moving on to Book #3!
